Associate Director of The Educational Opportunity Fund Program


Deirdre earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Spanish from Montclair State University. She earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education from New York University. She has studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. For the past 12 years she has worked for the Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) at Ramapo College of New Jersey where she is currently Associate Director.  She also teaches a First Year Seminar course on Advocacy and Intercultural education as an adjunct professor at Ramapo, She is a member of the Pi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Deidre is a professional affiliate of the New Jersey Garden State Bar Association. She is actively involved with The Rockland African Diaspora Heritage Center at CEJJUS Institute in Rockland County New York whose focus is to promote and support programs on social justice, particularly as it pertains to the health, education and the environmental effects on the well-being of marginalized communities. Her research interests include how the economics of race and culture have uniquely and negatively impacted the educational experiences of urban communities of color during the 19th and early 20th century in America.
